Adelaide’s Original Shibari School

Adelaide Rope Space was the first Shibari school in Adelaide and is run by Adelaide’s most experienced instructor, with over 20 years experience .

The Adelaide Rope Space school commenced in 2012 in a small premises in Sturt Street in the city and by 2013 Adelaide’s very first rope school had become booked out for weeks in advanced. In 2014, Adelaide Rope Space moved to its current much larger home . It’s a dedicated rope training facility, described by numerous international shibari teachers/guests as a “World Class Venue” and is equipped with stage, lighting and sound equipment as well as an enginnered and certified truss for aerial work.

Adelaide Rope Space is a dedicated space for rope drill practice and skill advancement. The organiser's aim is to provide a structured learning environment and curriculum for those serious about learning the basics and wishing to improve their skills. We also feature fun packed less formal classes for those just wishing for an introduction to the art.

It is a private and secure space with a relaxed atmosphere. Weekly beginner and intermediate sessions are held on Wednesday nights covering the basics with intermediate/advanced sessions held on an ad-hoc basis on Saturdays.

Opportunities also exist for private tuition. If you would like to enquire about a booking please contact us.
